Jonagold

Developed in the 1940s, this goldilocks of an apple is a cross between the sweet Golden Delicious and the tart Jonathan apples.

Flavor: Sweet-tart balance, tangy, juicy

Best for: Eating, baking, salads

EverCrisp

The first apple released by the Midwest Apple Improvement Association (MAIA) in 2014, a Honeycrisp and Fuji combo that keeps extraordinarily well (it's "ever crisp" 😆). A much harder apple than Honeycrisp, but still retaining that explosive crunch and juiciness you know and love.

Flavor: Sweet-tart, explosive crunch, juicy

Best for: Eating, Salads, Incredible Durability (store in fridge for months!)

This apple was discovered in Ohio in 2019 and is known for its tropical taste. (Testing revealed it contains some of the same flavor compounds as pineapples, grapes, and strawberries!)

Developed in 1944 in Wooster, Ohio, this Jonathan and Red Delicious combo has since become the state apple of Ohio.
