General / Fall Festival
Fun Farm Greeter
Positions: Entrance/Exit
Responsibilities: You are the first impression of the fun farm; therefore, your priority is customer service.
Your main duties will be to sell admission tickets, redeem online tickets, and provide punch cards or check out guests as they leave the farm with their apples and pumpkins.
Additional duties will be to clean and stock nearby displays.
Attraction Attendant
Positions: Trike Raceway, Apple Cannons, Hayride
Responsibilities: As an Attractions Attendant, your primary job is guest safety and positive guest interaction. You must be dressed appropriately for the weather and may be working alone or with a team. May be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Barrel Train / Tractor Driver
Positions: Hayride, Barrel Train
Responsibilities: Tractor drivers' first priority is guest safety and positive guest interactions. You must be dressed appropriately for the weather and able to get on/off the tractor multiple times an hour.
Must be 16 years of age.
Parking Lot Team
Responsibilities: Parking lot staff help direct traffic and park cars safely and efficiently. Must dress for the weather; we provide a safety vest while parking and a radio to communicate with the other members of the parking team.
You will be expected to direct guests where to go and answer basic questions about the farm.
You must be comfortable on your feet for extended periods of time and comfortable interacting with guests.
Cleaning Crew
Responsibilities: One of the most important, behind-the-scenes jobs on the farm is our cleaning crew. The responsibilities include cleaning guest restroom facilities across the farm, picking up trash, and other misc. cleaning duties.
We may also ask this position to restock areas with product during busy days.
Food & Beverage
Food & Beverage Team Member
Positions: Pizza Patch, Beer Garden, Orchard Grill
Responsibilities: Our F&B staff have a range of responsibilities, including prepping/serving food, cleaning, taking orders, and running a register. Some tasks are behind the scenes but most require guest interaction.
You must be able to stand on your feet for periods of time and follow food safety guidelines.
Cook
Positions: Orchard Grill
Responsibilities: Being a cook involves being prepared for and anticipating feeding hungry guests. Cooks may be assigned to work the fryers or grill.
Must be able to stand on your feet for periods of time. Must know basic food safety information and follow the food safety guidelines.
Bartender
Positions: Beer Garden
Responsibilities: As a bartender and cashier at Hillcrest Orchards, you will greet and serve adult drinks to guests at the Orchard Grill. This position is guest-centered and requires standing for long periods of time.
Strong guest service and multitasking skills are a must. Must know basic food safety information and follow the food safety guidelines. You must be able to lift 50 lbs.
You must be able to take and pass TIPS® certification.
Must be 21 years of age.
Donut Maker
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for making the famous Hillcrest Orchards apple cider donuts.
Since we like to have these items as fresh as possible, we also have bakers who work early morning shifts.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, wear closed-toed shoes, and help maintain a clean, safe environment. Must know basic food safety information and follow the food safety guidelines. Must be able to stand on your feet for periods of time.
Kettle Corn Maker
Responsibilities: Your primary job is to make kettle corn and keep it stocked in all the locations where it is sold.
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be prepared to work with hot oil and equipment.
Farm Market
Cashier
Positions: Market
Responsibilities: This is another guest-facing position at Hillcrest Orchards. Customer service is your first priority as a cashier.
Additionally, maintain the appearance of the retail location by arranging/restocking merchandise and keeping displays full. Due to the nature of the job, you will be standing much of the time, and you may be working alone or with a team.
